The first time you power up an NXP ISP-enabled device that is new from the factory, it should go straight into ISP mode. This is because the status bit/byte is set.
After programming the device you need to clear the status bit/byte in order to execute your code. Flash Magic does this automatically after programming a hex file. If you reset the device with the status bit/byte cleared, then in order to get the device back into ISP mode you must meet the conditions for ISP entry described in the datasheet/user manual. Read them carefully and where you have a choice pick one. Alternatively the first time you program the device you can add the code to support your own ISP entry method, for example Erik's NoTouch.
