#132915 - then the burden caps is not your problem
Responding to: ???'s previous message
or just pinned in some 'plug-in' dev board

Then the burden caps is not your problem. The "'plug-in' dev boards" may be OK for some low frequency stuff, but are the road to perdition for uC development. I can see how tempting they must be "it is so easy to fix a mistake" but DO NOT USE!.

The other "cheap' alternative "flying leads" require the utmost care in making connections short, but with much care a 11.0592 circuit may function.

The 1 or 2 layer PCB will, if carefully laid out with forethought as to signals, not "ease of layout", work up to about the same frequency, a "ground pour" should always be there.

For anything higher (and much analog stuff) a solid ground plane (i.e. 4 layer board) is a must.

There may be exceptions to the above, after all there is such a thing as luck.
