Anyway, call me a miser, but I don't see the point in paying 15€ of which I'm using only 5 and the mysterious ways of budgeting education is far beyond me!

I have seen a $1 device being used with 4 hours of "adapting work" where a $3 device could be used without any "adapting work" - some 'savings'.

Since you are in Germany, I am sure you do not work for $1/hour, although it may feel that way :) and thus look at the whole picture.

The expression in English is "penny wise and pound foolish" in Danish "spare paa skillingen og lade daleren rulle" I am sure there is a German version.
