Creeping featureism is one of the banes of this industry. If you want basics, it gets in the way.

Rather than using one "ICE" or another, I like the Ultramon51 monitor, which is much like having the PC's DEBUG.COM on your MCU. It assembles, disassembles, moves, etc. with a keystroke or two. Look it up and check the DOC file before you decide.

Some guys LOVE their ICE, but I'm not one of them. Be informed.
