#135640 - Diverting power supply to battery
I have been looking around for quite some times for a circuit that is able to divert the power source from AC Power to the battery(standard 9V battery) in case of power failure without interrupting my 8051 system. The battery is only used for emergency purpose and is run in parallel with power supply. Under normal condition, the battery will be in standby mode, but if the power supply fails, the battery will kick in replacing the power source temporarily until the power supply is back on.

Is there anyone who have found such a circuit? If yes, please let me know. Thank you very much in advance.
