#135698 - Regulator used
Responding to: ???'s previous message

Do you understand what will happen if the "mains" supply has a lower voltage than the battery...?

Uhm..nope, i do not, i could not find any explanation for this yet as i do not have much time earlier. My guess is that, if the main supply has lower voltage, the battery will take over as the power source. I might be wrong though, will do more reading later, or maybe if you are kind enough to elaborate a little, it would be very helpful as well. :)

What kind of regulator are you using?

I am not really familiar with different kind of regulators, as far as i know there are two types, a fixed regulator and adjustable one. The 5V regulator i am using is 7805 if i am not mistaken, or it should be something similiar. Will check with the circuit again later as i do not possess it now.
