#142086 - Cost Responding to: ???'s previous message |

What is the fastest way of development? I need to keep the cost of end product below 30 USD. "Fastest" and "Cheapest" are very often mutually exclusive! The Fastest development route would be to get a plug-on module (eg, Lantronix) that provides everything including the RJ45 jack, and just connects to the 8051's UART, SPI, I2C, or similar; The Cheapest component cost will be if you do all the TCP/IP, SNMP, etc in software. You haven't given sufficient information to be able to even guess how the overall development cost will affect your final unit costs... |
