#142139 - Any chip will do
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I am not particularly looking for 805x family. My end product must be less than 30 USD. A simple chip with built in media interface is always better. Microchip has one, but supports 10 MBPS. Silicon lab chips are great, but they don't seem to be supporting snmp. ie: no readymade stack available. Moreover, chips are 3.3 volts and this makes the end product costlier, in the current pricing scenarion for 3.3 volts chips. Are the I/Os 5 v tolerant?

Lantronix has very good modules. Digi also has. Wiznet has a good chip. But the price seems to be high. Chinese developers are already producing similar products at manufacturing cost of 15 USD!
But, to incorporate modifications, they ask for initial bulk order. in container loads.
