#142496 - Conclusion ?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Been going through the suggestions. I am really grateful for your help and participation.

Even though PIC seems to be the best in terms of pricing, general support and protocol support, they do have a problem with speed. Even if they had support auto negotiation, and auto full duplex, it would have helped. But I guess that is what is possible with the core. But then, again it is really tempting, I would say.

The next best option is SiLabs and ARM7. My costing will work out within 20 USD for the critical parts in both the cases. Stack will have to be bought from 3rd party. But then, with ARM7 I have an option for embedded Linux, in which case, I can have the whole stack free, but will have to work for 3 months at least to have the stack compact and working for my board. I do networking coding in Linux, and I hope that helps.

Anyway, I will finalise on one of the two soon.

Thanking you again, and inviting final comments from you ....
