#147817 - "push-pull" output, MCP101 Responding to: ???'s previous message |

If the micros reset pin had totem-pole output (I know of none), then, of course, the resistor would be the solution.
Erik The Microchip MCP101 series is an active high "push-pull" output, as opposed to the parts listed as "open drain". Totem pole might not be accurate, but.... That is why I wrote "as best as I can tell", because it is not in the datasheet (unless I missed it). It is in a Product Summary listed next to the datasheet on Digikey's web site. http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads...21303e.pdf The document is copyright 2006, so maybe Microchip has recently added a lot more of these to its product line. Maybe some of you that know more about this than I do could take a look and suggest updates to the 8052.com FAQ related to this. |
