Andy can you elaborate on this please, because i have to give a schedule of my future work to my superiors.

I was under the impression that once i have a binary file in External RAM, with each record slotted into the starting address specified by the HEX file originally, then i would be able to transfer control to it. but you are suggesting that i will have to decode the data before executing it. if you are referring to converitng the character pairs into Hexadecimal than i understand that but if you are referring to something else that is beyond my grasp at the point.

can you refer to a previous project in which this has been done. any links would be highy appreciated.
