#148564 - what I got out of all of this
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Is that Chi Squared is a method to determine if a series of numbers is random and not some secret - closely guarded - math formula for making random numbers.

And that a very fast ring counter will probably be just as random as some contrived assembly code.

I am using a AT89LP4052 to do nothing more then spin a ring counter and a second LP4052 to watch for the button press then request the number from the first LP4052.

One 20 MHz crystal clocks both devices. P3.7 on the first device is set to "clock out" and it clocks the second device through pin 4, the crystal input pin.

Thanks for your help everyone.
