#152634 - parallelling switches Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hello Everybody,Erik said,
parallelling switches you will not be able to tell which one it is Do we want to know which one?Because the idea of the switches is to stop the chime as it is repeating every say 15 seconds for say 10 seconds.Suppose a call is registered from room number 3 by lighting up the number 3 7segment display and starting chime number 3.If there is no other call from other rooms, the chime for 3 will continue for 10 seconds, silence for 15 seconds and chime again and so on.The 7segment for 3 is constantly on and can be put off only by going to room 3 and pressing the the tactile switch on receiver number 3. Likewise if room 7 and 9 also calls after a minute, may be simultaneously, there will be visual and indications for all three rooms 3,5,7.So here is a queue, never handled in 8051,and if somebody is annoyed with repeated reminder by chimes he/she can opt to stop the sound (disable the interrupt) but any fresh call from any room during the next round of switch polling will enable the chime. So I feel actually a single switch is required for stopping the chime/s. That is MURDEROUS!!!!! what guarantee do you have that that will not happen Kai said, Asok, there must not even be the least chance that you can touch the internal circuitry, if you power your device transformerlessly!!!!! Telling the customer that he must connect the circuit in this and that way to mains is no solution!! Electroic goods with transformerless power supply are in ABS plastic enclosures more than 3 mm thickness moulded in spark-eroded dies. These are totally sealed, having adequate ventillation cut-outs in size about 2"x2.5"x1.5",and having a pair of external plastic flanges integral to the body,to enable fitment on wall mounted switch boxes. If you would like to se a GIF image,I can post it,if Craig permits. With best regards A.S.Rudra |
