As long as there is no specified access speed (whatever it may mean), you can attach to an 8-bitter as much RAM as you want, and it's still trivial to access. In fact, 8-bit microcomputers of the "golden era" (80s) usually had 64-128kB of RAM. Recall, that the original PC had 8-bit wide data bus, and only a few claimed that 640kB would be too much... ;-) JW |
