I DO NOT, WILL NOT use 'paging' (code or data) it totally kills performance. With ARMs avauilable for peanuts, it makes no sense to implemet things in a '51 that requires 'paging'.

However I do have a product where a 2Mbyte flash is attched to a '51, this flash is read about once an hour through 'discrete routines' and no other acesss to XDATA is affected.

So, paging no, large data yes.
