I had posted this RST cap question some time back - about the cap being in the target board. After that, I removed this cap from all my boards. My decoupling traces are short, and the patch cable was also short. It was more of a Patch PCB. I am beginning to wonder whether the cap, even though not advisable for POR, was there because of a possible vulnerability of the RST pin towards noise pickups. Currently, the reset pin is pulled to 3.3 volts.
