#26956 - RE: Quality of postings again going down :( |
Hello Mr. Gil Simon,
I agree with you about a lot of the requests for help on this forum are from people (TDH'S [Tom Dick ^ Harry's]) represent a lack of though or preparations but I personally can forgive them for that because they are just starting out and don't know the rules of the road yet. I do get a lot of heartburn from the people who know better. They answers these requests with more outrageous statements than from the original request. Even when you bring sanity into the discussing by requesting they proof their point you get stoned for doing so. I can say that I get more out of this forum than what I put into it. Just two cases during the last two days. One was a timer two problem generating a second timeout period. The interrupt was not being reset by software and therefore the entire program didn't work. I was unaware you (the programmer) had to reset the timer two interrupt. Another thing I learned just today was about relays being picked up when you power up your device. I certainly can see that this would have bad consequences. This situation happened to me way back in 1974 when a large piece of equipment was switched for test purposes and blew out the entire building power complex several city block big. I would say leave things alone as long as everybody seems to be getting something out of it. You can never please everybody and as long as most are getting something from it then let it sleep. Regards, Charles Bannister |
