I have contacted Tof via email to see if the code he has developed is something he is willing to share with the community. If it is, great. If not, we'll have to start from zero.
I think a TCP/IP package would make more sense in 'C'. I think 'C' is more suitable for designs involving APIs, especially in the case of TCP/IP where a standard C-based API already exists. On the other hand, assembler would provide tighter and faster code. I think the C/assembler issue merits more discussion. There are advantages to both and while I am, myself, an assembly language programmer I don't think we should automatically discard C without fully analyzing it. Craig Steiner |
