Sorry to intrude. I noticed that somebody talked about having ftp/message board/web area for this project. I would like you to check out http://www.sourceforge.net.

Lots of open source projects are hosted there. You get to have an FTP area, a message board, access to a bug tracking program, and source control through CVS (check out http://www.cyclic.com for info on CVS). CVS is a little hard to learn first. But it is very robust and useful. A good CVS client for windows9x/NT is at http://www.wincvs.org/.
