#31075 - RE: PIC program size, speed
Hello All,

Craig Steiner wrote:
Does anyone have any side-by-side comparisons that could show the comparative size and speed of a couple of apps for both the 8052 and PIC?

One thing the pic's beat the 8051's is their counter.

PIC 16F84 vs 8051:
The pic's have a counter which can handle a signal up to 50 MHz input [1]. The Max a standard 8051 can handle is 1 MHz [2].

Looking around the Internet you finds tons of application software for the PICS. In my opinion much more than for the 8051's.
