#31579 - RE: interfacing sram |
Hi,
Thanks erik & michael for your reply. my product is very price sensitive. I can put money in the development but not on product. This idea of using sram for data storage only came only because of that. The control flag byte will come from 8051 to cpld so it will avoid multi driving. Michael mentioned about time problem as sram takes 100ns to read every byte. And my state m/c in cpld takes 5 states to complete one read operation if i run the cpld at 40Mhz it will take 125 ns for each byte reading. if i have to read 16 bytes it will take 2us. its just meeting 2us which is my requirement but if I don’t toggle ce & oe i can save 2 states in state m/c of cpld and i will finish 1 byte reading in 100ns and total operation in 1600 ns |
