I have used versions of that circuit for years and have never seen ( in low voltage /low power circuits ) the snubber caps. They are common on high current rectifiers as used in welders and high voltage line driven rectifiers I believe that they reduce emi and aid in faster turn off of power diodes hence cooler operation. I understood your schematic and was as usual awed by the effort you put into sharing knowledge. Thanks Terry |
