#46978 - Voltage divider for dc motor |
This is kinda far from 8052 related, but more of a electronics question.
I have a DC motor that is driven by a general purpose transistor (via an 8052 based controller). The transistor provides 12 volts output. However, my DC motor needs less voltage. Is there a standard technique for halfing this voltage? A series resistor would do the trick but it would *waste* a TON of power...no? Whats the best solution? Thanks in advance J |
