you are wrong. My example is not example of 8bit vs 16 bit because AVR single instruction SBIW R24,1 substracts 1 from pare registers (r25,r24), i.e. from 16-bit word, and sets flafs. The 8051 instruction DEC R1 substract 1 from one 8-bit register, and doesn't set flags. Programmer (not system developer(:-) have to implement bigger fragment of code to do the same function. That's all. Again, the Peter's example proves nothing. It is clear to the meanest intelligence. Actually he said: "Thus assembler programming on RISC was more awkward, since more to write".
