#50585 - 8051 Programmer |
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this so please excuse me if it's not :).
Anyway I have a very basic 8051 programmer and I'm using the Uniprog.exe program to run it. But well I have winXP (I regret installing it by all means) and winXP restricts access to the ports for programs. Thus the program cannot run under windows forcing me to boot into DOS and I can't run anything in DOS .. I can't use my scope or see my schematics or run my assembler. Is there anyway to actually make these kind of programs work under winXP/2000? I have googled alot and I know there are programs like UserPort but those programs only offer routines so you can "write" programs that use the port correctly but as for actually making "pre-written" programs work, I don't know what to do . When I use userport on winXP it totally messesw up Uniprog.exe and gives me an error telling that port Com2 has not been found. Any help would be greatly appreciated considering my current situation. Best regards Nima |
