#50642 - RE: Multiple OS?!?!?!
Responding to: ???'s previous message
hi,

thats right steave sir,

VIRTUAL MACHINES are the key to do so.like DOS running on WINDOWS.

i have stated that multiple OSes running on the same PCand i never stated "simultaneously".

logical Disk Partitions facilitate multiple file systems like NTFS, FAT16/32, EXT2/3 etc on the same secondary storage. Each operating system can have its own logical partion . A MBR (master boot record) is installed on the fixed location on the disk when system starts up , control goes to the above. some BOOT Loaders like the NT/XP GRUB,LILO etc. have enable you to select the boot image to load and run on start-up. this way multiple OS reside on the same system and you can enjoy the xP as well as LINUX or any other OS on your system.
