#50636 - RE: 8051 Programmer
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Parviz:
Since my board is till in development I can't afford to put such an expensive component at risk of damage... I think I can use it later though, when I'm sure all my circuits work perfectly

merci :)

Charles:
I'm only 16 :) so I can't really afford another computer ... even a crappy dos one ... and by the way, I can't run my scope on a dos computer ..

Thanks for the comment :D

Dear abhishek and Andy:
I know that multiple Operating Systems is the best approach , because If I install win98 on my comp, it doesn't block low level access to I/O ports, so my programmer thingy can work properly ... but when I tried installing my old win98 disk I got an SUWIN error ... I even tried formatting my C drive completely (erasing winXP) and installign on a fresh drive but sadly I got the same error, The same happened for winME ... I posted on many forums about it and it seems to be a hardware config problem ... so I gave up multiple OSs ... but If I could it would be the best solution ..
And yes , it is possible to install two operating systems on a single computer ... on my previous one I had win98 and win2000 also win98 and winXP ... but this new one just doesn't like win98 - winME :-(

Thank you for your comments :)

Michael:
Andy is right , I don't want to use dos ... and I don't have another computer so .. my only choice is either multiple OS or some program that fixes winXPs port access limitations.

And the image:
LOL :D

Thanks everyone for comments, I guess I have to
stick to DOS for now ... sigh ...
