#62402 - RE: Worst of both worlds? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
"And ? How DID it work, compared to another implementation language ?"
I don't know, I have canvassed for informed opinion before taking the plunge but so far I haven't received any. "No, here you are engaging in cultural relativism !" Not at all. I'm stating (or at least trying to) that there is nothing intrinsically 'wrong' with using any particular set of tools provided that the end result works, is maintainable and is completed within a sensible timescale. "There are self-evidently STUPID/WRONG ways of implementing things- you have already given one, albeit on a different platform." No, no, no. It works, it's maintainable and it didn't take long. It doesn't matter that it uses a lot of 'resources' - there are plenty available. I'll be perfectly honest - I don't enjoy using it, but I can't argue with the speed of development which happens to outweigh the other criteria in my situation. It is therefore, for me, the right tool for the job. |
