during the days of BASIC language and 8 bit microcomputers there was a technique used to store the reserverd words of BASIC (PRINT, GOTO, ah....these were the days): reserved words were stored grouped alphabetically, but without the first letter.
eg.: the "G" group start at adress 0x1000, so you have stored (G)OTO, (G)OSUB... and goes on... with 1000 variables, if you can use that technique you can save 1000 bytes from code memory hth orlando |
