Excuse me Mr Neil.....pretty harsh reaction...there are some nice advantages to the processor family he has chosen that may be highly applicable to his application. Also the 20 pin part is rather inexpensive and adding an also pretty inexpensive serial EEPROM may supte the application perfectly. Maybe even better and more cost effective than your supposition (and Erik's too) to just pop his application into a 16K/32K/64K FLASH microcontroller. Systems often have more considerations than just the blatent selection of "amount of FLASH".
