#64674 - TROUBLESHOOTING THE ASIM KHAN PROGRAMMER |
Hi,
I completed the construction phase. Now I am going to troubleshoot it, since it didn't work on the first go. I am using an IBM Thinkpad laptop to operate the programmer (I'm concious of the warning on the webpage about this aspect, but did not include the buffer IC. Instead I have used HCT ICs) I have already checked each Net for electrical continuity. The voltages are are also OK. My first observation is that the programming LED (D1 in the schematic) should flash during Write mode with 5V and 12V being applied to it, which it didn't. Am I right? If yes then is this the correct starting point to start checking. What else should I check. I only have DVM and an analogue multimeter. Regards Aurangzeb |
