I would not listen to the advice Charles Bannister gave you because it is wrong.
ISP chip(s) maybe be popular at the present time and easy to program but they don't teach you the knowledge you will need to succeed in the embedded industry. I know lots of people that are very succesful in the embedded industry that never built a programmer. You also don't need a Oscilloscope to build this programmer. All you really need is your self and a voltmeter. While that may be true, you need a sciope to verify it. If e.g. a pulse id too short, you may still "program" some chips, but the problems will come later Erik |
