#65051 - RE: ISP/IAP is the methode to be used! Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Erik: Ours is market driven economy and/or technology.
Today I purchased one piece 2051 at a fraction of one USD. 8051 s are just above one USD. Atmel's 28C64 was most instrumental in giving me confidence and helped me recovering my expences of 8085 based system;incidentally it was a commercially successfull LED polar matrix 8x8n,flasher or maze, banned in Continent, still running strong in Kolkata Metro Railways platforms on behalf of a weighing m/c vendor. But the point is - after about 100 preprogrammed 28C64 (each about two USD)taken from me,the customer found cheaper 2732 and 2764 (obviously 2nd hand)which a shop started supplying preprogrammed with replacement guarantee. So any high technology has to be cheaper (cost of ownership)than old one and that too from day ne. Kindly realise that if I go and ask for a new chip the shopkeeper will not even bother to answer me if he had never heard of it. Paying advance for getting a few pieces for me will result in what happened to a friend of mine who is now a proud owner of Turbo C 3.The poor man never received the manual even after waiting to the tune of a YEAR. Please suggest me names of ISP/IAP microcontroller as close to 89C51 as possible;of course I would love to have I2C,ADC and/or PWM facilities in built but pretty sure that either these will not be available or unaffordable.
