#65319 - RE: Atmel Responding to: ???'s previous message |
you know something....everybody wants to sell oscilloscopes but who service /callibrate them? You cannot imagine the conditions here in India.By God,I have been dying to have an oscilloscope for the last
35 years. Those days at least Philips were here in Calcutta- selling and servicing. One used to pay through their nose but could get a proper service.Alas they are no more(in Oscilloscope).Out of all now selling only one offers circuit/service manual and they say that's because the user have to keep on repairing only rather than using the oscilloscope.Incidentally do you get circuit/service manual along with your purchase?I remember Philips and used to give these whether you ask for it or not. Another reason for not being able decide on an oscillope is I could not decide the MHz. For the sake of it I could say after all we take all the precautions and measures that would have been necessary after seeing the faulty waveform but no I admit I need an oscillope. But how frequently? I estimate it is in 0.1% cases. That does never mean if some of you figure to do/throw away with his/her old oscilloscope I won't try to catch that ,repair and use it. Actually cost benifit analysis.... Regards A.S.Rudra |
