Yes Charles, the firms that do this are short-sighted. In the long run they will be subjected to multi-million dollar lawsuits because a product was not designed and tested correctly. In America and Europe we have to submit our designs to ISO 9000 Design Controls, FDA oversight and all of the rest of the overhead. In India there is none of these constraints, is this good or bad? From what I have seen on this forum alone, there are alot of guys in India that are getting paid to develop products and they clearly do not know what they are doing. Come on, we are having a big long drawn out discussion about a chip that got zapped and you think that you can still use it? That's like saying "Oh my brakes on my car don't work, but I can still drive it."
