i m messed up in a poblem. i have developed a moving message display as a final semester project, with an ibm keyboard, eeprom, At89c52. software developed in keil C. the problem is, i couldn't control flicker. the question may arouse into ur mind that how much flicker, it is more then the products in the market. i have also read previous messages, erik found to be well aware of MMD. so this is special request to erik to help me in this regard.

hardware, i have used 4094 as shift registers, 5x7 dot matrix display. total 18 displays r there. one led can sink upto 300mA current. as described by erik, display frequency should be 100Hz+ and one led should sink atleast 50mA current. i haven't checked the frequency, but current is sure.

one more thing, if i increase the frequency, i have to minimize on time of each row, it speeds up the scroll, but light gets dim.

is anybody there to solve my problem.
