#78643 - Do not give up... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Long live USB and Windows! Not at all!! But we ARE forced to do with these things being arround us, whether we like it or not. We are put into a world which isn't golden at all, even if people like Bill Gates and friends want make us to believe this... My recommendation: Make the best of it, don't waste your time and energy to 'hate' something! It will not be of help for you! I can understand, that you don't like to toy arround with USB, when running simple applications. And it isn't at all a good design practice to make things more complicated than really needed! The very best engineering practice is to make things as simple as possible. They become complicated from alone... It's a matter of fact that Apollo project would have terribly failed, when the todays market leader of operating systems would have equipped the control room with their new windows version. Unfortunately our world is not only running from new ideas, but it's the money that makes the world turn arround. And money you will only get, if you sell new computers every two years. And if they all the time have the same connectors, why shall mister average then buy a new one??? Changing connector styles every two years is the motor of the whole world's industry! When I was young I thought that 'progress' means, that things become 'better'. What a fool I was... Kai |
