#83164 - open collector push-pull no way Responding to: ???'s previous message |
What if on the open collector bus(my fast bus), more then 2 devices start to transfer(for some reason). And one of them transfer 0 and the other transfer 1 (they are in push-pull state). In this situation am i wrong or the ports will be damaged.
WHAT do you mean If you mean Open collector known as the "Wired OR" really "wired negative OR". Just visualize and you will realize that, while the data will be screwed up, no device will be harmed. Make sure you use devices with a hefty pulldown capability, for 400K (10 events per transfer = risetime of <100ns required) you will need pullups with very limited resistance. However, if you mean Push/Pull it is very likely that one or both devices will be damaged. Erik |
