sorry about getting here late but I did do a sdram controler design which would be suitable to handle all the nasty refresh timing you need if you are going to use sdram or similar,although to be honest ive been having fun writing a ide driver that works with cf cards.its amazing the way these things go in cycles,its karma man or something:)
