Rob, if your "half finished kit" has a serial port level convertor (MAX232-like), some reset and power circuitry, you are done. Go get the AT89C51RD2, it comes in DIL40 for around $10 (I suppose this amount will not ruin your "hobby budget"). Plug it into your board - I guess there is a socket for it. Download FLIP from Atmel's website. Run it and upload the Basic's hexfile - through the serial cable. Reset. Enjoy. Simple. Easy. Fast. Effective. Fun. :-) Jan Waclawek |
