Go get the AT89C51RD2, it comes in DIL40 for around $10
Or if easier available get a Philips P89C52RD2. There is also (as far as I rememeber) ISP via serial in DIP-40 available from Dallas/Maxim and possibly a few other places. You may even get a free sample from there. Erik |
