#90221 - Nice initiative
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Per,

I definitely find this a good idea. You're referring to a thread where Michael was answering an email of me (the famous PCF8574 thread).

So, you know I'm currently looking for a 'comfortable' way of debugging my code.

That's why I was asking Michael's opinion about the SiLabs evaluation board, since I thought it wasn't very expensive (read: affordable).

So, yes I'm interested in such a tool and I'm still looking to see what I can buy. I looked at SiLabs (C8051F120DK eval board), Keil (MCBx51 eval board), but there's also something like paulmann's evaluation board (looked at it yesterday).

So, choice out there is already quite big and all the ones mentioned above (except for the Keil evaluation board) at affordable prices.

You asked how much one wants to pay for it? I told on another forum (KEIL) I'm willing to pay a max. of US$200 for this. Features comparable with the ones of the evaluation boards I mentioned.

Maybe you can give a list of the features your proposal would have. Or maybe you can ask the forum members what they want to have as features.

After that, you will have a better view on what's the interest of the people around.

Best rgds,

--Geert
