Yes, you're right, Jan. I have for the moment a board that has exactly what you're mentioning: an 8051 socket (although still the DIL version) and 1 serial port. And for about 10 Euro extra, you can't go bankrupt, can you... ;-) But I was just curious to what such initiative would/could lead, that's why I gave my current 'situation' to Per.
