I think your lcd has damaged, because you have used incorrect voltage to vss and vdd pins (vss=+5,vdd=0) I remember 4 or 5 years ago,first time that i used lcd, i applied incorrect voltage like you and my lcd damaged and only it's backlight was working. I think your lcd pinout will be similar to another 2*16 lcd's. put a 5k ohm pot to pin 3,and turn it without connecting other pins,if you see pixels are on in one rows then your lcd is worked properly Good Luck Mehdi |
