#93252 - AC Vs DC and dv/dt
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Dear Friends, Thanks for your kind responses but there's one more doubt left in mind please help me..

Is there any diffrence in emissions or noise generated due to supply to load being DC or AC. For example consider a case of a

1. Triac such as BT136 switching a 75 V AC 50 Hz across a 75 Ohm resisitive load causing 1A current through load. Firing being random.

2. A Darlington such as TIP127 swithing a 75V DC across same 75 ohm resistive load causing 1A current through load.

Is it true that in case of AC switching noise will be more due to sinus wave and harmonics or it will be same ?

Thanks & Regards,
Prahlad Purohit
