Switching the DC voltage will produce far more harmonics.
If you want to experiment with voltage waveforms and the corresponding frequency components then excel has a Fourier transform macro which you could play with.Or you could even try the Laplace transform method which is slightly easier and allows you to convert the differencial equations given by discontinious waveforms into simple to handle expressions. |
