I don't know the exact answer to your question, just want to draw your attention to the fact that in the 8051 UART the ti and ri flags are NOT asserted AFTER the transmission/reception of the whole character, but somewhat sooner (depending on mode - see the diagrams in the "bible").
On 485, turning on transmission enable and starting transmitting too early could confuse the listening devices easily. Jan Waclawek |
