#101300 - delay time Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The needed delay time of the PC from send receive mode change is about 50 msec. Operating system of the PC (W95, W98 W2000,XP) requires this time for RTS pin state change. But if use a better rs232/485 converter (check out the B&B Electronics' converters) this period drops to none. Because some type of converters are of inbuilt hw switch regardless of the RTS and CTS pin behaviours. Besides that, having supply voltage on the bus! Take the voltage drop into consideration along the bus. Biasing is always an issue, needs some trials. Good luck Rustu |
