I would also recommend the FTDI chips as you can connect the 485 driver controls directly to the USB to 232 bridge chip.
Isn't the point about the turnaround time that the master must go from transmit to receive in less time than the slave. In fact all devices must have a receive to transmit delay longer than the slowest transmit to receive delay of any device on the bus. |
