#123577 - thanks for all replies,
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Firstly thanks for all replies.

To Richard:
The load cap. values are consistent for the system as recomended in the datasheet.(33pF)But I
also tried different caps which had less values. And I have been using the basic
XTAL&cap. configuration which is illustrated in the datasheet.
In addition, the operating voltage is +5V in my system. In the datasheet
it is said that the max. operating voltage can be chosen +6V.
What do you recomend for the operating voltage? +5.5V or something like that will be useful?

To Neil:
If you imply that the crystal is new, yes it is a new crystal.Never used before. And what type of crystal is necessary?Could you explain pls?

To Andy:
Yes, your aproximation is right, but as far as I know there is a RC circuit in the chip to
initially activate. If I'm wrong pls correct me. And for the PIC series, the programmer must
define the osc. frequency by software. So I thought that, maybe for the 89C52 same procedure must be kept.

By the way, is there anybody who has used 8259A programmable Interrupt Controller chip?
Thanks,
BC
